Making Every Decision Count: Using Parliamentary Oversight and Lawmaking to Advance Gender Equality Virtual Launch Report Event
The launch event of the INTER PARES | Parliaments in Partnership – EU Global Project to Strengthen the Capacity of Parliaments publication on “Gender-Sensitive Scrutiny: A Guide to More Effective Law-Making and Oversight”, authored by Hannah Johnson, INTER PARES Senior Gender Adviser, took place on Wednesday, 9 March 2022, 12:00 - 13:00 CET.
Parliaments are where the diverse needs of citizens are represented, through the people they elect and the decisions they make. The choices made by parliaments in the coming years will determine which direction is taken on the road to global gender equality: forwards or backwards. The new INTER PARES guide to gender-sensitive scrutiny provides MPs and parliamentary staff with a practical framework to advance gender equality through their law-making and oversight work.
Registration was closed on 8 March.
